I was using Garrison Mission Manager all throughout Legion for auto-filling my order hall missions and now in 7.3 it doesn't seem to be working :( are there any similar addons I can download that work in 7.3?
Garrison Mission Manager ;-)
Works fine for me.
Works fine for me.
The only thing broken about it is that it has old broken PlaySound calls. For now, you can run PlaySoundFixer to work around it until it's updated.

Garrison manager might be updated, but I resent that it is always choosing the most expensive personnel choices possible vs the least expensive one - like using a Krokul (900 Order Resources) instead of a Fel Imp (20 OR) when both will work. I consider that plainly abusive.

- +1. How Do I Get My Champions?
- +2. How do I gear my champions?
- +3. What Is A Combat Ally?
Champions are essentially lore figures that have been recruited through yourorder hall campaign to join your forces. You can use them for the following:
- sending them out to complete class hall missions;
- recruiting them as combat allies to help you fight in the Broken Isles.
Every class has their own separate set of champions, since they are allrelated to lore. There are at least 9 champions in total for each class, but only 5 canbe active, unless using order hall advancements to increase this limit. As with thegarrison followers in Warlords of Draenor, you must deactivate your excess championsif you wish to start a mission and you have over your limit of active champions. If you wish toreactivate them, you can pay 250 gold to activate one per day.
1. How Do I Get My Champions?
All the champions will come from the order hall campaign; as soon as youcomplete the first set of quests after gaining 325 artifact power, you willreceive your first set of champions.
After you reach level 103, you will be able to return to your order hall andcomplete a second quest chain for the campaign, which will allow you to unlocktwo more champions.
The rest of your champions will come from naturally completing the order hall campaign.The exception to this is followers that are found outside of the campaign, such as Meatball,who is obtained by completing a quest chain after killing a boss at the Brawler's Guild andis recommended for all classes.
In subsequent sections, you will find a full list of Champions for eachclass that can be obtained in-game, as well as the best setup for each class.

2. How do I gear my champions?
Champions have the option to unlock equipment slots as they level and growin rarity (in the same way followers did in garrisons); once a champion hitsrare quality, they will unlock their first equipment slot. The second slot isunlocked as soon as they hit epic quality. The final slot will be unlocked whenyou level your followers from epic to titled quality.
In order to prepare them for battle, you will need to find some championequipment to arm them with. You can find it through the following means:
- missions in your order hall;
- treasures;
- world quests;
- emissary quest rewards;
- Class Order Hall advancements;
- purchasing it on the Broken Shore.
The items that are available in-game fall under a number of categories; theyeach have a different impact on a different part of the mission process.
2.1. Success Chance Equipment
The first category is equipment that impacts the success chance of missions,depending on their duration. There are three types in this category:
- the equipment increases the success chance of all missions by a set amount;
- the equipment increases the success chance of missions that are shorter than 4 hours;
- the equipment increases the success chance of missions that are longer than 8 hours.
2.2. Mission Duration Equipment
The second category is equipment that reduces the time required to completea mission. There is only one type in this category and it is a flat reductionin mission time.
2.3. Follower Affinity Equipment
The third category of equipment looks at affinity between different types offollowers. You can equip your champion with items that will increase thesuccess chance of a mission depending on the other troops available for themission. Each class has a different set of items that is specific to theirorder hall. There are 2 types in this category:
- the equipment increases success chance by a set amount when the champion is accompanied by lessertroops;
- the equipment increases success chance by a set amount when the champion isaccompanied by greater troops.
2.4. Combat Ally Equipment
The next category is equipment that is only useful when a champion is beingused as your Combat Ally. The next sectionwill further discuss what a Combat Ally is, but for now, the equipment willincrease the rewards you get from World Quests when fighting with your CombatAlly. There are two types of equipment:
- the equipment increases your order resource reward when completing World Quests;
- the equipment increases your gold reward when completing World Quests.
2.5. Consumables
There are consumables that can be used to buff your champions and troopswhen preparing them for missions. There are 3 different effects that can beapplied to your followers, depending on which class you play:

3. What Is A Combat Ally?
When recruiting your champions, certain ones have the ability to accompanyyou around the zones of the Broken Isles. Similar to how a bodyguard inWarlords of Draenor would work, they give you a slight edge over the mobs youare killing in the open world. They cannot be taken into most instanced areas,but will help you whenever you are in the open world. There are three types ofcombat ally.
- An NPC will follow you around and engage in combat with you, casting theirspells and abilities to make sure they kill the mobs as fast as possible. Asyour gear progresses, so too will the combat ally's stats. They become morepowerful as you do, but note that they can and will die. Unlike the bodyguardsystem in Warlords of Draenor, however, the combat allies have a very shortrespawn timer.
- Rather than appearing as an NPC, the combat ally can also appear as aspell. There are two forms which the combat ally can take in spells:
- a spell that will proc when criteria are met, such as hitting an enemy or taking an amount of damage;
- a spell that can be cast via an extra action button that has a cooldown between uses.
3.1. How do I get a combat ally?
In order to select a combat ally, you need to find a champion that has aspecific combat ally ability. You can see who can function as a combat ally orbodyguard in our table of all champions above. Once you have obtained one ofthe marked champions, head top your scouting map. You can then access thecombat ally section via the mission UI. It will cost you 50Order Resources to assign your champion to become a combat ally.
They cannot go on any missions while assigned as a combat ally, nor can theyhave any equipment added to them. They do, however, gain experience with eachworld quest you complete when using them as a combat ally.

2. Recommended Addons for Havoc Demon Hunters
2.1. Generic Addons for Demon Hunters
2.1.1. Azerite Tooltip
AzeriteTooltipwill show what traits are available for an Azerite armor piece for yourspecialization in the tooltip when moused over.
2.1.2. ElvUI
Here, at Icy Veins, we useElvUIfor all our characters. This addon is a complete replacement of the defaultUser Interface. It comes with almost everything you need to perform properly:action bars, cooldown timers, proc display, etc.
We strongly recommend that you get this addon and our forum moderator Pandacho has writtena quick configuration guide for it.
2.1.3. Weak Auras
WeakAuras is anextremely useful addon that allows you to have visual effects on your screen,helping you track your buffs, debuffs and cooldowns. It is highly customisableand it can make it much, much easier to keep track of your procs and play yourspec more proficiently. It can also be used for a variety of otherfunctions.
2.1.4. Boss Mods: Deadly Boss Mods or Bigwigs
Boss mods are addons that warn you about boss abilities and give youlive advice on how to handle some mechanics. We strongly recommend you toget one such addon. At Icy Veins, we mostly useDeadly Boss Mods,the most popular boss mod. A good alternative isBig Wigs.
2.1.5. Details!
'Details!' Damage Meter is a real-time DPS/HPS meter with a lot of additional functionality such as being able to see cooldowns, buffs, debuffs, damage done to specific targets, and statistical analysis. In our opinion, it is superior to Skada in terms of functionality, although it is slightly more complicated to configure. We recommend Details! as your default damage meter, but if you prefer something easier, then Skada is still a good option.
2.1.6. GTFO
GTFO is a lightweightaddon that notifies you when you are standing in harmful effects or when youare making other such mistakes. It is very useful, even if your boss mod isalready alerting you of such things.
2.1.7. Hekili
Hekili is avisual rotation aid that gives a visual cue to help players better grasp themoment-to-moment gameplay that can sometimes be overwhelming. It is regularlyupdated to align with new simulation profiles as and when they are created, andwe highly recommend it as a tool both to learn with and as a helping hand tosteer you along the right path, even for experienced players.
2.1.8. Pawn
Pawn is an add-on thatcalculates the value of items based on the stat weights you input for yourcharacter. The best thing is to use SimulationCraft to get the stat weights foryour own character.
2.2. Specific Addons for Havoc Demon Hunters
Currently, we do not believe that you need any additional addons to play yourspecialisation to its full potential.
